Who we are

Tea Rex is a tea house in Ubud, Bali. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, write to us on WhatsApp at +62 822-2164-1929 — it is the same number that sits on the counter.

What we collect, and only when you offer it

This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies. Browsing it leaves nothing behind with us.

We hold details in two situations, both of which you start:

• The tea club. Your name and WhatsApp number, so we can send you your tea card and, now and then, a note about a tea that has landed.
• Your tea card. Once you are in the club we keep what you have bought and the points you have earned, so the card can show you a balance that means something.

Your basket lives in your own browser and is never sent to us until you choose to send the order.

Orders go through WhatsApp

When you send an order, it opens WhatsApp with your list already written out. From that point the conversation is an ordinary WhatsApp chat between you and us, and WhatsApp's own terms apply to it.

We never ask for card numbers or bank details on this site, and we never will. Payment is arranged in the chat.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your details, and there is no advertising network on this site. Your information sits on our own server and is seen only by the people who work at the tea house.

How long we keep it

For as long as you want to be in the club. Ask us to remove you and we delete your name, your number and your card — all of it, not just the mailing.

What you can ask for

• To see what we hold about you.
• To correct it.
• To be deleted entirely.
• To stop receiving messages while staying in the club.

One message on WhatsApp is enough for any of these. There is no form to fill in.
